While sleeping, Bud and Lou are subjected to Mr. Fields showing a prospective tenant (Minerva Urecal) their apartment. They owe five months back rent and Mr. Fields' needs the money. Bud has blood pressure issues, but offers to get life insurance for Lou and name Mr. Fields as the beneficiary. Lou becomes afraid in taking a physical exam at Speedy Pay Insurance Company. The doctor (Murray Leonard) feels the only way he could pass the test would be to take a few double-strength vitamin pills. Bud feels he should slip them to him unaware so he won't worry. Lou pops his head in the door to overhear the conversation and mistakenly thinks they are planning to kill him for the money. Lou becomes leery of every move Bud makes. Refusing to eat or drink anything, Mr. Fields suggests Bud take Lou on a hunting trip. Lou comically sneaks to misinterpret their conversation and sees them holding rifles. In the forest, Lou fears the worst.
