  • Crew or equipment visible: (At 01:38:00) In the scene where Virgil & Everett are talking on the bench a moving camera can be seen reflected in the window pane above Virgil's left shoulder.

  • Continuity: At the beginning of the movie, immediately after the bad guy shoots the sheriff and the deputy, as he turns, the cocking lever of the Winchester is fully down (probably a jammed blank didn't eject). There's a cutaway and then while the bad guy is still walking away, we clearly see the rifle with the cocking lever is now fully retracted.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Virgil and Everett are in the hotel and Virgil is smoking a cigar, it is not lit. He inhales a few times and never exhales smoke.

  • Continuity: Immediately after Virgil and Everett capture Bragg, they are surrounded by Bragg's men. This all happens at sunrise and they would not have had time to get dressed, saddle their horses and surround them that fast.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Joe Whitfield approaches Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch the first time in the hotel dining room - shortly into their conversation you can see the numbers "191" flash momentarily in the upper right hand corner.

  • Continuity: When Virgil and Everett first approach Bragg's men in the saloon, the cowboys are relieving themselves at the bar using what was called a "Piss Trough." Virgil demands that they "Button Up." After the shooting is over, when the bodies are shown on the floor, there is no trough or any sign of wetness in that area.

  • Continuity: After Bragg has been pardoned by the President, he meets Virgil, Mrs. French and Everett at their dinner table. When Bragg moves across the room to visit the town elders, the camera comes back to Virgil and Mrs. French. There is no sign that Everett was ever there at the table as his dishes, wine glass and all have disappeared.

  • Continuity: When Everett leans his 8 guage shotgun against the outhouse to capture Bragg, it mysteriously becomes a lever action rifle when he gets on his horse. This happens several times during the course of the movie.

  • Revealing mistakes: A store in town (seen when Bragg is brought to town in captivity) is called "Ladies and Gents Clothing and Millinary", which misspells "Millinery".
