Channing Tatum (Magic Mike) is attached to star in and produce an untitled ’70s-set crime thriller about a family man who must go undercover to take down a dangerous mob syndicate. Kristin Gore is penning the script, and Chicago/Academy Awards producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will produce alongside Tatum and Reid Carolin for Sony. This summer Tatum can be seen in 22 Jump Street (June 13) and Jupiter Ascending (July 18). [THR]

'Justified,' 'Criminal Minds' Actors Join Indie Comedy 'Hot Air' (Exclusive)

Justified's Jere Burns, Criminal Minds' Matthew Gray Gubler and musician-actress Schuyler Fisk will star in indie comedy Hot Air. The film centers around a burned out lothario (Burns) who fakes his own death in order to escape a life sentence in jail, only to meet the son he never knew he had (Gubler) at his own funeral. Fisk plays Summer, a love interest for Gubler's character. Photos: Cowboys and Bad Guys on the Set of 'Justified' Derek Sieg, who directed 2006's Swedish Auto starring Lukas Haas and January Jones, will direct from a script he wrote with Jeremy Goldstein.
