In his directorial debut, De los Santos makes good use of techniques developed by master cinematographers and allows flow of a simple, yet poignant story line. He lets all characters develop at liberty and follows their maturation throughout the movie. I was particularly entertained by his single shots and use of light. De los Santos has done work in New York City and throughout Mexico. I have seen his commercial ads and short documentaries. Gathering clues and ideas from master craftsmen, he is developing his own style and is likely to do a more impressive job in his next filming. Enjoy BLOOM - watch out for De los Santos' cameo appearance.
