Selena Gomez has stayed pretty quiet since completing a secret stint in rehab in January, but the support sent her way from fans hasn't gone unnoticed.
The singer reached out on Instagram on Monday (Feb. 10) to show her gratitude and thank her fans for having her back.
"I've done everything I could to the best of my ability," Gomez captions a photo of herself smiling happily on a boat. "Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me."
On Feb. 5, it was revealed that the former "Wizards of Waverly Place" star had entered a rehab facility a month prior, on Jan. 5, where she stayed for two weeks. A rep for the actress said at the time, "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse."
The admission, which came shortly after canceled tour dates in Australia, citing a need for time off, prompted some to »
When Selena Gomez entered rehab on Jan. 5, she was supposed to stay for a six-week program. It's now being reported that by leaving after only two weeks, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star went against doctor's suggestions.
TMZ reports the new development per sources close to the star. Apparently there were "strenuous objections" against Gomez's departure from Dawn at the Meadows in Wickenburg, Ariz. Her early exit from the rehab facility was so she could attend Sundance Film Festival, but sources say she decided she had no reason to return.
Additionally, TMZ's insiders claim Gomez went to rehab for "alcohol, pot and Rx Ambien," in addition to her "unhealthy union with Justin Bieber." That goes against what Gomez's reps say, which is: "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse."

Selena Gomez dropped a bomb on her fans: She secretly entered rehab in January, though not due to drug abuse.
"Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," a representative for the former "Wizards of Waverly Place" star confirms to Us Weekly. After entering on Jan. 5, she remained there for two weeks.
So what was the cause? Sources for Us say she did it to "get herself together," though they didn't elaborate. That makes sense because she also canceled her tour dates in Australia, saying she needed some time off.
The reason she needed to get herself together, though, could be because of her on-again, off-again fling, Justin Bieber. He posted a picture of them hanging out on Jan. 3, only two days before Radar Online reports she entered Dawn at the Meadows recovery facility in Wickenburg, Ariz.

But if you thought there might be a love connection, HollywoodLife.com has spoken to an insider who tells us that these two are just friends.
