Writers Get Carried Away With Their Anti-Fed Agenda & Overblown Finale
28 December 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

We pick up in the last of the trilogy here dealing with the deadly Mala Noche gang who not only controls crime but has ruined the personal lives of Horatio and Eric by killing Marisol, Eric's sister and Horatio's day-old bride.

At the end of last week's second installment, Horatio and Eric track down who killed Marisol and force the man to tell them who ordered the hit. That would be "Antonio Riaz."

This week's season finale opens with a bang as someone invades Riaz's territory, lets fly with a machine gun and kills everyone but the sleeping boss, who somehow evaded things. We find that out when the two above-mentioned guys, along with Det. Tripp and Officer Aaron Jessup, investigate the crime scene. To make matters worse, a booby-trap sets off a hand grenade and kills Jessup.

To makes even worse (can it get worse?), federal agents crash the CSI building and arrest "Maxine Valera." The assumption, as stated by CSI employee "Dan Cooper," is that Valera must be the mole the lab has been accused of having (not true). If you haven't noticed, the Liberal entertainment business almost always does everything it can to make the U.S. Government and its agents look like villains - on TV as well as movies. Show after show we see this on CSI- Miami and here it is again. They may the "feds" so exaggerated in their characters as arrogant, hateful people it's just ludicrous. Only the left wingers who control our entertainment industries would try to make us hate our own government personnel like this. Talk about twisted. In that regard, this last episode is real insult to anyone of any intelligence.

However, at least the loose ends were tied up and we find out who the mysterious "mole" is, after all, along with a few other big surprises.....one after the other.

When this program sticks to the crime angle, it's fantastic, but this past season it veered off into too many soap opera sidebars, culminating with this last three- episode finale. I can only hope they cut back of the soapy stuff for next year, but I wouldn't bet on it.
