Storyline

While Jim Brass is in surgery the team has two cases to tackle. The first involves a man, found decapitated on train tracks, with a 19-inch waist. Further investigation reveals that he wore a wasp corset, as was fashionable with gentlemen during the Civil War. The other crime scene is in a hotel room where a man is found in his boxers, dead, on the bed. Scattered around the room are evidence of a wild night of alcohol, drugs, and sex. Ellie, Brass's estranged daughter, comes to visit her father from LA. Written by Ploy P.

Goofs

While investigating the death of a murder victim who wore a corset to achieve a "wasp" waist, Sara Sidle comments, "This corset ties from the back which means Mr. Carson couldn't have tied the laces by himself. He had to have help." Most 19th century corsets did have laces up the back and hooks up the front. Assuming the corset laces were long enough, however, the wearer could tie a corset on his or her own by loosening the laces, hooking the corset in the front, and then reaching back and pulling on the corset laces to cinch the waist. A second person's assistance to tighten a corset is quite helpful but not essential. See more »

Grissom and Sara
10 November 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I was SO glad to see them together FINALLY! after all the tension! I think they played it well though b/c the only way that the show would be changed by the event, was if there were significant character changes, (i.e...grissom opening up etc.)I really don't anticipate a significant change for Grissom, I think Sara will move on AGAIN, and then go back to him AGAIN, so on and so forth, typical Sara behavior. I just hope that by the end of the show that they will have gotten together for real. But since that episode nothing has interfered with the show's dynamic, I think it was done very well, and I hope for some more teasers in the future!
