The Agony of Genius

Biography: Marlon Brando - The Agony of Genius (2005)

Benicio Del Toro, Robert Duvall, Kevin McCarthy, Peter Bogdanovich, Martin Sheen, Sydney Pollack, Sondra Lee, Tom Mankiewicz and various authors are among the people on hand for this episode of the wonderful television series. This episode shows the various highs and many lows in the career and personal life of Marlon Brando.

I've seen a lot of documentaries on Brando and this one here is certainly one of the best. As you'd expect, it's extremely well- produced and the interviews themselves are quite excellent.. The documentary mainly focuses on his power during the 1950s and then the tragedy that struck him later in life. The documentary also covers his Civil Rights fight as well as his own battles with his weight.

If you're a fan of Brando then you'll certainly love this documentary. You get to hear from several people who worked with him and the likes of Sheen and Duvall tell some wonderful stories. You also get to hear from some authors who shine a light on why Brando constantly battled the system and the demons that would haunt him.
