Backstory: Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte (2001)

Script supervisor Robert Gary, actor Alvin Greenman, Bette Davis' friend Roy Moseley and Micharl Musto (The Village Voice) are interviewed about the making of HUSH HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE.

Originally the film was supposed to star Bette Davis and Joan Crawford but we soon learn that the two of them hated each other so much that they were unable to film the movie with them. We then learn all the details of went on behind the scenes that caused Crawford to be fired and for Davis to get the last laugh by getting who she wanted in the cast. We also learn about the various other production issues as well as its eventual release into theaters. Even if you're unfamiliar with the movie itself, I think it's easy to say that you'll still love this episode because it seems there was nothing but drama on the set. The battles between Davis and Crawford are the stuff of legend so getting to discuss the fights was a lot of fun.
