Jack Hardly Ever Rests
13 September 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Jack, Chloe, Buchanan, and Karen Hayes realize that the recording was erased by Papazian. However, CTU is soon forced to switch tracks and focus on a new threat: the team transporting Bierko is attacked and Bierko escapes, and he plans to seize another powerful weapon to use against the US — an armed Russian submarine being serviced in the Port of Los Angeles as part of the US-Russian treaty. Using the last canister of Sentox nerve gas to kill the submarine crew, Bierko and his men take over and prepare to launch the submarine's missiles. With the new threat quickly approaching, Jack must use Henderson in a delicate sting operation. Meanwhile, the drama at the retreat turns deadly as Martha discovers Aaron Pierce about to be killed, and rescues him, killing Logan's henchman in the process.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Aaron Pierce approaches President Logan about the conspiracy, but is captured and will be murdered

2.Martha Logan saves Aaron's life by shooting Justin Adams

3.Counter Terrorist Unit fails to keep Vladimir Bierko in custody, and Henderson helps Bauer infiltrate Bierko's contact house

4.Vladimir Bierko plans to deploy Sentox nerve gas on the Russian sub Natalia to hijack its missiles

5.Jack Bauer infiltrates Molina's apartment and obtains the needed files.

The action heats up in this episode.Bierko was able to escape from CTU and then tries to deploy Sentox nerve gas on the Russian sub to obtain missiles.Martha Logan kills someone to save Aaron Pierce. And after the recording has been discovered to be erased,Jack takes no time to rest and tries to infiltrate someone's apartment to obtain the needed files to implicate President Logan. This episode moves so fast in terms of action and Jack just does everything so fast that he barely gets a break from every activity that he has been involved in.The danger rises as too as the missiles might be launched soon by Bierko to create more chaos and has the support of the President.Indeed,we are up for more excitement and entertainment in the final hours of Day 5.
