Crazy credits for
Star Trek (2009) More at IMDbPro »

  • Just prior to the closing credits, Leonard Nimoy is heard reading a new version of the updated traditional "Star Trek" introduction. In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" TV series, the introduction speaks of the Starship Enterprise's "continuing mission" as opposed to "its 5-year mission", and now in the movie we hear "its ongoing mission". The rest of the wording including how that mission involves boldly going "where no ONE has gone before" (TNG TV series), rather than "no MAN" (original TV series) is kept the same.
  • There are no opening credits, aside from the title appearing on screen following the opening scene with James Kirk's father.
