As ALL SOULS DAY writer\producer Mark A. Altman describes his supervision of Robert Hall and Jason M. Collins in doing the key-make-up for SOULS' several zombie scenes, the phrase "we wanted to go 'balls to the wall'" emerges in summing up the team's dedication to creating the ultimate depiction of the gory undead. Whether it is exploding the 150-year-old head of Oleta Diaz (Julia Vera) with a shotgun blast (which is achieved with a 50 psi shot of compressed air hitting a dummy head filled with fake blood and topped by a black wig), or finding the appropriate life models for the movie's undead in an archive of autopsy photographs (the "Sarah White" zombie was based on an apparently famous photo of a topless female corpse the film industry has dubbed "Blondie"), this crew trio provides the back-story for all their major decisions in the making-of featurette.
