A fun and informative documentary on the making of "Demon Hunter"
This engrossingly brisk and comprehensive making of documentary covers all the bases on the hugely entertaining low-budget horror/action flick "Demon Hunter" from conception to production. The eager and enthusiastic interview subjects keep this movie interesting and entertaining throughout: smart producer Stephen J. Cannell, amiable writer Mitch Gould, practical director Scott Ziehl, sharp fight choreographer Michael Worth, exuberant hottie lead actress Collleen Porch, sassy and equally alluring supporting actress Nancy Yoon, folksy special effects artist Chadd P. Cole, and , best of all, the always charming and magnetic Billy Drago. Some of the more intriguing things addressed in the doc are various compromises forced on the picture by the tight budget and schedule, the strenuous demands of the ambitious fight scenes, how Drago's bad guy role was originally intended for a much younger actor, and the difficulty of shooting the entire feature in a hectic 18 day run and gun fashion. A nifty and illuminating doc that's well worth seeing for fans of the film.
