Storyline

When Brennan and her team investigate the apparent suicide of a protester in Arlington National Cemetery, they discover it wasn't suicide but the murder of a soldier who served in Iraq. As Booth and Brennan pursue the murder investigation and interrogate the American soldiers the victim served with in Iraq, their investigation leads to many unanswered questions about the victim's military unit in Iraq and the actions they took while on patrol there. As more information about the case is uncovered, the clues indicate a potential military cover-up. The case brings back many memories for Booth of the horrors of war and elements of his own 'shady' past as a sniper are revealed. Written by Anonymous

Trivia

When Jimmy is in the interrogation room with Booth, Booth asks "What's the first thing you heard"? He says first was the pop of the enemy's AK, then all hell breaks loose. A year later, Aldis Hodge (Jimmy), plays on a episode of Supernatural titled "All hell breaks loose" (2007) coincidentally as a soldier also. See more »

Goofs

After the bullets are removed from the body of the dead soldier, Booth immediately deduces that 3 of the rounds were fired from an M-14 instead of an AK-47. Both the M-14 and the AK-47 fire a 7.62mm bullet and while the cartridges are different in length, the actual bullets are practically the same size. It wouldn't be possible to determine what rifle they came from at a mere glance. Also, there are many different rifles that use the 7.62x51mm (.308 cal) round besides the M-14. See more »

Bones & Booth were a bit irksome
14 March 2016 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

There was so many emotional and sensitive topics going on in this episode.

All I ready have to say is that I really do not like how judgey Booth can become of others.

Bones has been insensitive all season. I know people need to heard the truth, but know how to do it.

I just feel so sympathetic for the soldiers overseas. I know some of them can be corrupt, but not all of them are. It really bothered me that Bones felt that her input about soldiers was needed even though she does not have a clue as to what goes on overseas.

The episode was still a good one.
