Lindsay Lohan ‘Feels Bad’ For Harvey Weinstein and Wants Everyone to ‘Stand Up’ For Him
Many actors have spoken out against Harvey Weinstein since the publication of articles from The New York Times and The New Yorker that revealed decades of alleged sexual harassment, including rape, but Lindsay Lohan is not one of those celebrities. While Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lawrence, George Clooney, and more have condemned the former head of The Weinstein Company, Lohan has come to his defense in a now-deleted Instagram video in which she urges people to “stand up” for Weinstein.

“Hi, this is Lindsay Lohan. Hi. I’m in Dubai. I’m home and I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now,” Lohan said. “I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. I think Georgina [Chapman] needs to take a stand and be there for her husband. He’s never harmed me or did anything to me.

Lindsay Lohan Comes to Harvey Weinstein’s Defense, ‘I Feel Very Bad For Him Right Now’
Harvey Weinstein seems to have at least one defender.

Lindsay Lohan shared a Instagram story video saying she supported Weinstein after several women made allegations of sexual misconduct against him in stories published in the New York Times and The New Yorker.

While she deleted the video less than an hour after posting it in the early hours of Wednesday morning local time in the UAE time – where she is currently located – social media users were quick to record and share.

“Hi, this is Lindsay Lohan, I’m in Dubai. I’m home,” she said in her now more European accent.

‘Girls Trip’ Review: Malcolm D Lee’s Bawdy, Boozy Comedy Showcases a Stellar Sisterhood

‘Girls Trip’ Review: Malcolm D Lee’s Bawdy, Boozy Comedy Showcases a Stellar Sisterhood
“If I will it, I can have it all.” So goes the million-dollar motto for Ryan Pierce (Regina Hall), the bestselling author who centers Malcolm D. Lee’s sprawling, women-gone-wild comedy “Girls Trip.” Ryan’s aspirational thinking is meant to motivate her faithful followers, but it seems as though Lee himself was similarly inspired. Lee’s never had trouble crafting a confidently glossy film (we’ll pretend “Scary Movie 5” didn’t happen), although some of his endeavors (“Undercover Brother”) have been more memorable than others (“Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins”). “Girls Trip,” a raucous ode to African-American sisterhood, may be his most open-hearted effort since.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah get rowdy in the new trailer for Girls Trip

  • HeyUGuys
Author: Zehra Phelan

Hold on to your knickers, another Hangover-inspired film based on the ‘fairer’ sex is about to gracelessly hit our screens in Girls Trip. Judging from the newly released trailer it isn’t far off the upcoming Rough Night, except there are no accidentally dead male stripper in sight.

Do you fancy watching Jada Pinkett Smith releasing her bowels while suspended from mid-air onto a gazing crowd, or even four feisty women getting high on Absinthe and causing an all out brawl in a dance-off in the middle of a club? Well, that’s what you get as the four lifelong friends decide to get away for the weekend and relive their younger days as potty mouths take hold as well as their raging sexual hormones. Oh, these ladies are nasty, lively and horny and slightly offensive when one declares “I’m getting white girl drunk” – well, this

What Is the Most Ridiculous Sex Scene From a Movie? — IndieWire Critics Survey
Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film and TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best film in theaters right now?”, can be found at the end of this post.)

This week’s question: In dubious honor of “Fifty Shades Darker,” what is the most ridiculous sex scene from a movie?

Mark Harris (@MarkHarrisNYC), Vulture/Film Comment

I’m sure others will easily top this, but I always think of Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone in the terrible 1994 action film “The Specialist,” having laboriously glossy, oiled, carefully pube-concealing, solemn, positionally exhausting intercourse while mouthing tedious expository dialogue in a shower that appears to be the size of a studio apartment. The 90s were a boom time for bad movie sex, and this is Hall of Fame level in that so much money, time and effort has gone

Are we drowning in nostalgia?

  • Flickeringmyth
Anghus Houvouras on whether we’re drowning in nostalgia…

Yes. We absolutely are.

There’s the short version for anyone who doesn’t feel like putting any additional thought into the subject. I’m nothing if not considerate.

We are currently adrift in a sea of the familiar. Living in an era of entertainment avarice where our fondest wishes came true, and like every story about wish-fulfillment we refused to consider the consequences of getting everything we ever wanted. We wished for a steady downpour and are now struggling to find breathable air as we’re pushed against the ceiling of our sinking vessel.

Nostalgia is the enemy of creativity. It’s the reason we are wading through the brackish wake of entrails and innards left by the slaughter of the 2016 summer movie season. A disaster so epic that the combined might of Dwayne Johnson, a re-animated Charlton Heston, and

Usher is in the middle of a promotional run for his upcoming film, Hands of Stone, but he’s still finding time to get stuff done on the music side of things, too. The R&B star has revealed that his eighth full-length record, Hard II Love, will be released on September 16th through RCA Records.

Hard II Love was originally known to fans as Flawed for a while, but Usher spoke back in June to note that the title wasn’t final. The fifteen track album is now available for pre-order on digital outlets and includes instant downloads of the four songs released thus far: “Missin U,” “No Limit,” “Crash,” and “Champions.”

No Limit” includes a guest appearance from rapper Young Thug and is the only feature confirmed as of now, but if Hard II Love follows in the footsteps of all of the recent Usher albums, then more

Barbershop: The Next Cut (a.k.a. Barbershop: A Fresh Cut) (2016)

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee

Starring Ice Cube, Robert Teitel, Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Sean Patrick Thomas, Eve, Anthony Anderson, Jazsmin Lewis-Kelley, Common, Nicki Minaj, Margot Bingham, Lamorne Morris, Deon Cole, Reggie Brown, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Tyga, J.B. Smoove, Deon Cole

Synopsis

Employees at the barbershop look to solve the gang-related violence that has taken its hold on the local community.

It’s been 12 years since the last outing of the Barbershop franchise (11 if you want to include its spin-off), and it’s nice to see many of them return as well as the arrival of some new faces. As these films have gained greater recognition and a growing fan-base over years, one glaring concern would be that of quality: could they recapture the magic and chemistry given the time-lapse? Could the director of Scary Movie 5 live up to such standards?

15 Horror Comedies You Should See Before You Die

XLrator Media

It often makes you wonder about the tastes of modern audiences when horror comedies – a combination of the two most downright enjoyable genres in cinema – usually manage to both be a turn-off critics, and fail at the box office. If ever a genre had the potential for send-up, it’s the one that spawned the immortal classics Unfriended, Ouija and Annabelle.

Then again, it’s entirely possible that a modern crowd just doesn’t want to see horror being parodied. A decent horror comedy (or, failing that, Scary Movie 5) will make fun of all the genre conventions and spoof their weaknesses, and the people who’re itching to see another Friday the 13th eboot don’t want that.

Or maybe they watched A Haunted House and Vampires Suck and wrote off the idea that horror can be funny. It can, but you won’t find many laughs in those opportunistic would-be comedies,
