Scary Movies are famous for bringing their characters back from the dead. It isn't really that rare when that stuff happens in the Scary Movie series. Brenda who appeared in the first four Scary Movies, was killed in both the first and the 3rd films. However, Charlie Sheen is playing himself in this movie and not the character he played in Scary Movie 3 and 4.

The same release strategy is applied that the studio used since part 3. The mass-friendly PG-13 version for cinemas and the raunchier unrated cut exclusively for the home video market. The alterations that the unrated version introduces are all related to censorship for the PG-13 rating since that can't be too crude or sexualized. In the US, it is only included on the Blu-ray disc while customers of the DVD have to accept that they only get the theatrical version. In total the unrated cut runs approximately 2 minutes longer than the theatrical version and a detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
