Storyline

The producers of Stockflame (2005) made a documentary that above all should show the persons behind the scenes. It presents itself as a good extension for the movie Stockflame (2005) because it explains much more of the history behind the basic legend. They made interviews with cast and crew. They show Behind-the-Scenes footage, illuminate the origin of the Rodenstein Legend and reveal the problems and pleasures during the production. It is a wild and funny mixture of making-of and a history documentation. Above all it is an overall documentary film that exhibits a four year journey within 30 record-breaking minutes. as good as a play

I saw the documentary the last time when i received the DVD. It is a very funny documentary because the film-makers reveal some interesting details without being to earnest. It reminded me of the audio commentary for Evil Dead II. The producers precisely know that they made no masterpiece but an entertaining movie. I would say "they made their own damn movie!" using Lloyd Kaufmans book and movie title in an alternative way. But the Documentary stands for itself and works without the movie "Stockflame" whereas "Stockflame" needs the Documentary in some points to explain the story. It is a very cool double feature to see this short tour through the production with the short-film following. You can have an hour of nice and clean fun. Thats why i give a 10 out of 10.
