My compliments to Caroline Huppert and the whole crew. I'd give it a standing ovation! Just want to know when this movie will be available here in Holland on DVD. I feel that characters all were very carefully chosen and that this team not only dugged in profoundly in the atmosphere of that era and story, but almost became these persons. In general a good director is indeed like an artist such as a painter, but being a movie-director seems to me - especially in this case - a gift from 'above' this world. Watching this movie gave me a good feeling about mankind throughout the centuries, having their incertainties and struggles,as well as their victories and peaceful moments in life. Never the characters are unreal or too romantic;always this fine balance between the harsh reality of life and the way everything works out 'as it should' ,and so painting in living pictures a (heart)moving painting. In fact,I recognized great parts of my very own past and it made me more forgiving towards everyone else.

Bless the crew, from my heart, everyone and each of them, for they gave me something special.
