Homer accidentally attends a class on Successmanship, showing him how to be an assertive business man, as a result of which he tricks Burns into letting him take over the ownership of the power plant, in order to put right the many wrongs he sees in its running. However he is dismayed to learn that he must fire people, in addition to which he is forced to spend time away from the family. After Burns has unsuccessfully tried to kill him - by bricking him up in a wall - he happily returns the power plant to him.
