cool concept for a big time movie
9 July 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

this is a really cool concept...a story about three knucklheads...3 guys trying to write comic books about superheroes wearing "discuises" in public to get "real experiences" that provide the story lines for their comics ...two of them go into a restaurant and order some food....the third guy comes out of the restroom ("transformo playing their foe) and is confronted by the other two...a comical conversation about saving the people of the earth (OCCURING EARLIER BETWEEN THE TWO GOOD GUYS)is the genesis for the confrontation as they begin battling each other with fake ray guns. Transformo, the bad guy, is hilarious as he makes gestures and noises that are the preclusion to his transforming into a massive hulk of terror...a 'customer" (law officer) intervenes and tries to arrest the three for "brandishing" weapons (although harmless in this case) in public...as these weapons can be mistaken for the real thing...the restaurant manager sees the "real" gun and knocks the officer out as the three "superheroes" make their escape...this marks their first adventure in to the real world and gives them fodder for their first comic book story.
