Storyline

A crackpot comedy about sanity, a quest, and crazy love. When eight mental health home patients wake up to discover that the Nurse is absent, the T.V. is out, and find a glass eye made in Rapture, Indiana. . .they come to the only possible conclusion: the apocalypse has happened. Each takes on a new role in society and finds a sense of purpose through imagination. Led by their president--a disenfranchised housewife who has decided normal is crazy--they commandeer a short bus and head out on a mission to save the world's survivors, on their journey to find the edge of the world. Thought Provoking
6 June 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

When I got the opportunity to see this film, I jumped on it. I had heard great things about the director and the film and really wanted to see what caused the fuss. And once watching it, I understood.

It is quite a quirky film with unique characters in a web of different mindsets, goals, and interactions - I was informed the style is very French-like. I can relate to the lead actress as she feels that she is not living in the 'real' world and the bus adventure that occurs entertained me a great deal. I felt like I was reliving the best parts of childhood: the parts where we experience the world through our imaginations unlimited by societal expectations.

If you get a chance to watch this movie, please do. I think you'll enjoy it.
