NBC’s rookie comedy Crowded will likely make recent college grads think twice before relocating to their parents’ basements.

After all, even if it is the most convenient and/or financially savvy option to move back in with Mom and Dad post-diploma, would you really want to live with your parents when you know that (A) they’re secretly smoking your weed, (B) they’re itching to let a few F-bombs fly every now and then, or (C) the thing they want most of all is to have frequent, spur-of-the-moment sex?

Crowded Review – NBC Draws From TV Land For Huge Win

15 March 2016 8:19 AM, PDT | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

The biggest problems facing new sitcoms today are getting the writing to fit exactly with the actors who have to deliver the scripts, and getting through the establishment. Crowded, NBC‘s latest effort, gets through both of them in a way that is almost unprecedented. Top that off with great writing, and this is one of the best sitcoms in years.

Created by Suzanne Martin, of Hot in Cleveland and The Soul Man, Crowded is an effort that showcases avoiding the need for the convoluted establishment that drags a lot of attempts down, by simply being about the world we know. Instead of struggling to get you to play along with some gimmick, it only has to give you the characters, which leaves a lot more time to get to the comedy.

The show is about a couple who lose their empty nest as soon as their daughters graduate college, »

Patrick Warburton Clinches Lemony Snicket Role In Netflix’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events

You wait months for casting news to emerge from Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events TV reboot and suddenly, two tidbits come along at once.

Granted, earlier today we learned that Neil Patrick Harris had closed a deal to don the cloak and scowl as the menacing Count Olaf, after the How I Met Your Mother star had been linked with a return to serialized television since the turn of the year. Now, though, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Patrick Warburton (Rules of Engagement) has been cast in the role of Lemony Snicket himself.

There, he’ll join Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes – on board as Violet and Klaus, respectively – two thirds of the Baudelaire family who are left with little choice but to share a roof with their devious uncle Olaf (Harris) once their parents pass away in a tragic and unfortunate accident.
