There are two forces at work in this episode. The first involves Joanna's refusal to see an eye doctor. Dick believes she has poor eyesight, and while he is right to express his feelings, he goes way overboard. He doesn't respect her fears and her wishes and obnoxiously pecks away at her. In the other, Stephanie was supposed to do a favor for George, something that was important to him. She runs off with Michael to do one of her selfish things and forgets about her promise to him. He decides to write her off as a friend. He will still do his job but she will no longer be his friend. It's interesting watching her try to figure out simple human decency.

When Stephanie does not do a favor for George as she promised, he tells her she cannot be his friend anymore.
An unusual but effective episode in which gives an interesting interaction between these two characters. Kind hearted George and selfish Stephanie always get along but this is one time that Stephanie is forced to deal with George's feelings. There are amusing moments, though not big laughs and they stay true to their characters even after they make up.
