Many ways to love
kevinolzak18 October 2016
"Mork in Love" finds Mindy anxious to earn a scholarship so that she can finish college, only to be rejected in the end. Her father is elated at being able to buy a new car so he can proudly proclaim himself a success at his high school reunion, but when he learns of his daughter's troubles he gladly gives her the money. Meanwhile, Mork has been watching romantic movies and questions the meaning of love, as Ork had long ago abolished emotions. Cora and Fred have such a volatile relationship that Mindy shows Mork how love means that they need each other. Seeking out someone to love, Mork returns home with the music store mannikin, which he dubs 'Dolly,' claiming to be in love with 'her.' Now Mindy has to demonstrate the difference between an inanimate object and a real flesh and blood woman, first to hold hands, then a hug, and finally a kiss, the first one she shares with her new houseguest. Mork's stirring reaction is an emotional first, but he still needs time to say goodbye to 'Dolly.'
