Charo debuts as Raul's aunt from Spain
6 July 2016 | by See all my reviews

"Aunt Charo" introduced the 'Cuchi Cuchi Girl' as Raul's aunt from Spain, sister of his late mother, a role that lasted for six episodes. As a real life musician, we get to see Charo play guitar to Raul's marimba, convinced that she can tutor him to become a great musician. Ed isn't too thrilled to have the kid go off with his aunt but he, Della, and Louie all play dress up for a fiesta sendoff, on the same day that Charo planned to take him to Disneyland. As much as Ed tries to convince Raul that Spain is the best place for him to live, he insists that his home is with 'Uncle Ed.' The multi talented Charo's famous mangling of the English language keeps this episode afloat, unlike several from this last season.
