Storyline

In the Hudson Valley of Upstate New York, Marie is a single mother who struggles to care for her three children, particularly Julie, whose birth defect prevents her from walking or talking. For the three years she has lived in her current house, Julie has interacted with invisible friends. Marie assumes they are angels. Eventually she meets a man whose company she enjoys and she invites him to her home to meet the children. His name is Chris and he has an ability to sense spirits. He senses something is wrong the moment he steps in the house. Soon, the family sees the ghost of a blonde boy. Chris and Marie try to learn about him and the other spirits in the house through a Ouija board, which proves to be a disastrous mistake. Later, a demonologist is the only person who can give the family answers when Julie shows signs of demonic possession. Written by J. Spurlin

Everything clicks here...good story, good acting, lots of suspense...

This is one of the best in this series that I've seen so far.

In upstate New York a house is haunted by unseen visitors only seen by a mentally handicapped girl. Eventually, the girl's mother begins to believe that these spirits talking to her child are not angels, but demons.

The young mother meets and falls in love with a man who has studied paranormal events and senses when there are spirits around. He's uneasy the moment he steps into the house--but stays with the woman and her children as they attempt to get rid of what appears to be an evil spirit that is working through the girl who has no way of knowing good from bad.

The plot becomes chilling when we know that the demon called Frank is after the girl called Julie. A team of investigators are called in to determine if the occupants have indeed reason to be afraid of living there. It turns out they do--in a gripping scene where one of the investigators gets the scare of her life.

Good plotting, well acted and guaranteed to keep you in a state of high suspense. Chilling stuff, with some very convincing special effects.
