Fish's birthday wish
17 April 2014 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"The Adoption" finds everyone preparing for Fish's 62nd birthday, when neighbors Harold Lester and wife (Howard Honig and K Callan), from "The Neighbors," drop by to solve their childless situation by adopting one of the group home children. As the oldest, Mike will soon be out on his own, and Jilly is still in contact with her mother, so they still have three from which to choose. Loomis and Diane lose out to Victor, which makes best friend Jilly sad to think he'll be leaving. Victor boasts about having his own room, making Loomis jealous, and having his own TV, making Diane jealous. But after one day with him, the Lesters decide to go elsewhere to find a child, earning a scathing review from Bernice, who doesn't think children should be treated like library books, easy enough to check out and read before returning (at least Victor got along with the neurotic baboon). All the kids are present for the birthday party, and did Fish get his wish? ("no, you're all still here!").
