A sequence covering the Hollywood Wax Museums publicity stunt, whereby a faux Oscar statuette was placed into the hands of the wax effigy of Julia Roberts. Julia Roberts was nominated, and did win, the "Best Actress" Oscar for her performance as Erin Brockovich, in the film with the same name. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences served the Hollywood Wax Museum with a cease and desist order, stating that the wax museum could not use their coveted statuette to promote their business. Assistant Curator, Jonathan Morrill, was recruited to make the public retraction, stating that the Hollywood Wax Museum had complied with the Academy's demand.
