Not bad!
16 July 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

At first, it appeared to me as a sort of mediocre heist movie where no good guy is intelligent enough to figure out who the obvious thief is. But this movie has characters that are smart, funny, and likable (with the exception of a few minor ones), which puts it above other forgettable heist/scam/mystery movies. Also, the movie stays one step ahead of you with lots of twists that will keep you guessing until the end. Really.

However, an overly-long and complicated plot hinders the movie a lot, especially for people who don't pay full attention to what's going on. (If you're planning on watching this movie with another person, I'd warn them as well. When watching this movie with others, I'm always asked the usual "What just happened there?" "Wait, why is he doing that again?" questions.) It's as if this movie's trying TOO hard to challenge you, instead of the subtleness of films like 'Ocean's Eleven'.

It sure isn't perfect, but it isn't bad for a boring summer. And the soundtrack is awesome.
