Sam's storyline makes sense when you know all the facts
CozyMysteryLover9199623 October 2021
There appears to be several misconceptions about Sam's storyline from other reviewers. First of all, Sam only killed Steve. She did not shoot the other escaped convict and his girlfriend. Steve killed them hours prior to his own death. Second off there IS an explanation of why Steve shot them. Steve and the the two of them were arguing over what to do with Sam and Alex. The other escaped convict and his girlfriend wanted to get rid of Sam and Alex (possibly kill them) because they were slowing them down and they didn't want to leave any witnesses alive. Steve and the two of them went out of camera range and then we hear a couple of gunshots with only Steve returning. That's the reason why Steve killed them. While Sam shooting Steve wasn't legally self-defense, she probably believed that she and Alex would never be safe unless Steve was dead.

Graduation Day (#13.2)

Warning: Spoilers
I really have no idea how Sam managed to kill all three of them. They sure didn't bother to show it to us. I only saw her shooting at him, and it makes no sense, she is no action hero. But anyways, they did an interesting story out of it.

The main story here was to see Luka and Abby observe their kid being saved. It was also great to see Maggie come and fight for her grandson. It was wonderful in the final scene how she had her conversation with Abby. Good for their family to be stronger.

I am now worried Weaver will get fired, maybe she already is, I didn't completely get it. I would hate this as I love her character.

Interesting who will Neela end up with now.

Sams story is totally stupid

Warning: Spoilers
So sam Murders her ex and then Richard threatens the police / DA to stop them prosecuting...

Who got charged for the murder of the other two as well? Police might assume she did all 3. That would be reasonable. Why did Steve shoot them anyway, zero explanation for it.

She'd be really lucky if the police didn't also assume she was in on the whole escape.

Reality, Richard would be looking at an obstruction of justice charge so fast his head would spin. Totally ludicrous writing. US is a banana Republic where you can threaten your way out?

No possible way Sam walks away from a tripple murder. Not even mentioning the cop seriously hurt in the chase. The police would go for the jugular!

Main story with Abbey and Lisa is more bearable. Though I don't really buy Lukas reaction. He already lost one child after all. Seems way to cold.

Best bit of the episode is Weaver confessing, not stepping over Luka. Feel it's character development since she stepped over Dr Greene to be ER chief many seasons before.
