Stunning Turn Of Events For Stella

8/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

We begin by being "treated" to a two-minute concert by Kid Rock, who gives a great example how the culture is going down the toilet. Then we see a young woman outside of the arena discovering a dead limo driver.

Mac gets a call for another emergency and finds Stella unconscious with her boyfriend, who is dead. In this shocking turn of events, the CSI co-star turns victim. Mac tells her to rest and sit this one out, that this time she is not on the job but one of the victims. The rest of the team will help.

Mac goes back to the scene of the crime, to Stella's place, to look for evidence; Flack interviews Stella, and Sheldon works with the medical examiner. Gunpower residue on Stella's hands and ballistics matching up the bullets in the dead both indicate that Stella fired the gun that killed her boyfriend! We find out she had already dumped him and was paying the price!

Meanwhile, Danny and Lyndsay go to work on the limo driver murder case. We get the usual suspects until the real one is discovered.

The Stella situation, if you will, will leave most viewers drained. It's very, very intense.

Regarding Personal Feelings

10/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

There are few episodes in any series of this type that go in-depth with the feelings, emotions and dramatic turmoil of any given character. More than just hinting, All Access brings the viewers in with a Kid Rock concert and a dead limo driver. Mac Taylor, Danny Messer and Lindsay Monroe are at the scene trying to make heads or tails of it. About 7 minutes in, 911 dispatch comes over a nearby patrol car saying that there were shots fired and a possible officer down. Dispatch rattles off an address and Mac pales. Stella's apartment. He and Flack meet up at her place and kick the door down, "NYPD!" They're yelling. Mac finds Stella's boyfriend, Frankie, dead on the floor with three shots in his chest. However, Stella's also lying on the floor, gun beside her. She's still alive but she remembers very little of what had happened short of Frankie breaking into her apartment. She's given a full work up and Mac investigates the scene while Don talks to Stella, trying to help her remember what went down. This is my absolute favorite episode. See it for further info! ;)
