Surgeon John Mason enjoyed professional success and wedded life although it ended in triple alimony. Judge Jeffrey Pyne lived carefully and realizes his son, a male model, is closer to realizing his dreams then he decades older. They are squash partners and both facing retirement. Realizing they probably have about 20 years left to enjoy life and do what they wanted, the unequal pair teams up to push each-other. Written by KGF Vissers
If you liked John Lithgow in 3rd Rock, then you will like Twenty Good Years. I saw, what I believe to be the pilot, on an airplane a few weeks ago and I couldn't stop laughing. Although this isn't an alien family trying to adapt, the talent of John Lithgow comes through just the same. I don't know the other gentleman in the show, but he was a great straight man for the show.
I found the premise of the show, two old guys trying to keep their lives interesting, intriguing. I think that there will be many opportunities for excellent episodes by simply taking every day situations as story lines. Most people will enjoy the one-liners which seemed to keep coming and they seemed to be in relatively good taste.
If the series is produced as well as the pilot I will be looking forward to this show every week.
Today's television doesn't have enough good comedies and I'm glad to see this one come along.
Enjoy!
