Storyline

Abraham Ashley and his loosely pulled together gang of thieves plan a heist to rob the Federal District Reserve Bank (Memphis Branch). Little do they know that the Feds are the least of their problems. A series of pulp gangsters come out of the woodwork bringing back events from the past and debts that still have to be paid. Somewhere along the way all of the "Threads" pull together for a clever heist that seems too good to be true. Written by Bevan B. Bell

Excellent movie - highly recommended
10 August 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is an excellent movie with great local shots of the Memphis area (especially appealing if you've spent any time in the Bluff City).

The action is non-stop, the plot is intriguing, and the dialogue is consistently clever and intelligent. Much in the style of "Get Shorty" but with a Maamphis twist - "Divine Manipulation of the Threads" is totally unique and provides entertainment and solid laughs throughout the movie.

You walk out of the theater thinking of all the people you can tell about this unknown "jewel" of a movie.
