The not so secret secret admirer, and the story of Cinderella
18 June 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Lovey's Secret Admirer" finds Mr. Howell furious over the love letters his wife is receiving from a secret admirer, confronting all three bachelors in succession until he runs out of suspects. Mary Ann is asked if she ever had a secret admirer: "if I did he sure kept it a secret!" The Professor invents a homemade lie detector, which works like a charm, especially when the Skipper boasts that he always tells the truth. Talk of a total stranger on the island in love with Mrs. Howell ends with her husband the culprit. The series' longest dream sequence follows, enacting the story of Cinderella, Mrs. Howell in the title role, Mr. Howell the handsome prince, Ginger and Mary Ann the ugly stepsisters, Gilligan the fairy godfather!
