Continuity 

Toward the end of the film, Maggie dies in Austin, Texas. However, In "Lonesome Dove", which takes place approximately 16 years later, it is stated, by both Gus and Woodrow, that Maggie died in Lonesome Dove.

In the original "Lonesome Dove", some 16 years later, when Jake comes back and says he is surprised to still find them in Lonesome Dove, Call says that nothing much has changed since Jake left. Jake leaves from Austin in "Comanche Moon", not Lonesome Dove.

When Pea Eye gets drunk and passes out in the street, his hat is laying flat on the ground behind his head. When Maggie reaches down to grab him and drag him out of the street, his hat is partially on his head.

As Newt, Ikey, and Pearl are walking away from Maggie's funeral, and they stop at the bottom of the hill, Newt lets go of Ikey's hand. When the camera angle changes, he lets go of Ikey's hand again.
