In the 1930s when Disney made the first animated movie Snow White, the media asked them "how is it possible that an audience would sit in a theater to watch animation for more than an hour?".
I think this question is very applicable to Singapore's first 3d animated film. I watched the DVD and gave up half way through. It seemed to be more like a student film rather than an industry standard film. I felt that the voice acting was quite good but it seemed very unnatural because there was hardly any lip sync or facial expression. The lighting was very bad and most scenes were too dark. The animators had poor sense of timing and poses. Camera angles were annoyingly difficult for the eye. Storywise, the screenplay was generally weak and uncreative.
The models were rather low polygon and it looked more than a 3D computer game than a movie. In fact, I think that most games today (e.g. Doom 3, Call Of Duty 2) have far better graphics than Zodiac.
In conclusion, this is a really poor film in every aspect, technically and conceptually.
