Trivia

When Louis (the alligator) is singing about becoming a human being, he mentions Louis Armstrong and, at the same time, pulls some Spanish Moss from a tree and wipes the left side of his mouth. In his later life, Louis Armstrong suffered damage to his lips from years of blowing high notes on his horn. This caused the left side of his mouth to dribble saliva. Armstrong kept a handkerchief in his left hand and frequently wiped his mouth. See more »

Goofs

In the opening scene, someone on the streetcar is reading a newspaper with the headline "Wilson Elected" which implies the date is November 1912 (if it were 1916, the headline would have said "Reelected"). This contradicts the year on Big Daddy LaBouff's newspaper, and it also contradicts the time of year in which Mardi Gras takes place (February or March). See more »

Eudora: [telling a story to Tiana and Charlotte] "Just at that moment, the ugly little frog looked up with his sad, round eyes and pleaded, 'Oh, please, dear princess! Only a kiss from you can break this terrible spell that was inflicted on me by a wicked witch!'"
Young Charlotte: [to Tiana] Here comes my favorite part.
Eudora: "And the beautiful princess was so moved by his desperate plea that she stooped down, picked up the slippery creature, leaned forward, raised him to her lips, and kissed that little frog."
Young Charlotte: ...

Just astounding. The story was genuinely touching, the intense scenes jumped out at you, the humor was funny, the acting was excellent, and the music was the best soundtrack of any Disney movie since The Little Mermaid (A standing ovation for Randy Newman). There is also something about the 2D animation - it just has more personality and emotion than CGI. I just saw it tonight, and I am honestly floored.

Disney, for the last few years, has suffered from a lack of creativity. The movies have all been interchangeable with the same plot recycled. This one is different, new and really just the best animated picture I've seen in a long, long time. The applause in the theatre was very much earned.
