Goofs

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Jon and Cloe walk into Jon's parents house they both walk past the door too far to shut it (allowing the camera man through). The camera then cuts to Jon's mother in the kitchen and we hear the door close. The camera quickly cuts back to Jon and Cloe as they remain too far away to shut the door.

Errors in geography

When John is picking up Chloe for their ride to Canada, they are supposed to be leaving San Francisco. However, Chloe is sitting in front of the Vesuvio Restautant and Pizza which is located a 696 Osborne St, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Besides, the sign in front of Vesuvio says, "Best Pasta in Frisco". No self respecting San Franciscan calls the city "Frisco".

When John calls his mother to tell her he is in Oregon and on his way to see her, he is filling up his own gas tank. However, Oregon gas stations are all full-serve.

When they are driving to Winnipeg, John tells Chloe he mapped the best route. However, if this were really the case, they would never have driven through Oregon or Washington. Winnipeg is north of Eastern North Dakota. The fastest way to get there from San Francisco would be to drive through Nevada, then Idaho, Then through Montana, then to Eastern North Dakota and drive north from there to Winnipeg. (Possibly deliberate by the filmmakers: John's parents lived in Washington state, and John wanted to go there but he didn't want to tell Chloe. So he came up with this route, and told Chloe it was the best route.)

Factual errors

When John and Cloe enter Canada they are required to present their passports. At the time the movie took place (November '04), passports were not required if traveling by car.
