A head injury caused by an accident puts Melinda's abilities at risk. Melinda must deal with the possibility of permanently losing her gift as she attempts to help a young girl whose boyfriend has recently died.

The writers of this episode appear to be influenced by the White Wolf game "Wraith: The Oblivion", a role playing game where players play as ghosts. The episode shares two things in common with the game. First the fact that a ghost can be anchored to an object that holds emotional sentimental value. Second that a huge wind is sweeping through the ghost world, that can be felt in the real world, and that sweeps ghosts away. See more
