Lisa explains that the Egyptian artifacts in the museum's Isis exhibition were discovered when Professor Dudley Winthrop discovered the temple of Isis, by falling through it's ceiling. This is similar to a real life incident that happened to Howard Carter (who would later go on to become probably the most famous Egyptologist of all time, by discovering the Tomb of Tutankhamun). Carter was riding through the Egyptian dessert one day when both he and his horse suddenly fell in to an ancient man-made chamber beneath the sand. However, Carter's discovery wasn't quite as bountiful as the one Lisa talks about. Carter only discovered a single statue in the chamber he fell into.
