Trivia

This episode is a parody of Akira Kurosawa's film Rashomon (1950), which first exposed him to an international audience. The original movie is about a murder seen from the differing points of view of four of the characters. See more »

Goofs

Outside the diner, the Undersheriff is putting an antacid tablet in his mouth with his left hand in the wide shot (with Brass and Grissom), but it switches to his right in the close up. See more »

Quotes

Sara Sidle: I remember David saying "You'd think she'd know better than to wear white on the bride's big day." So there we were at Cupid's Kiss, a nuptual Neverland where the cheese factor was dangerously high and the flowers were obviously fake. Can the love be real when the flowers aren't?

"Come For The Wedding, Stay For The Funeral"
27 April 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In startling opening, we see a bride and groom happily waving as they leave in a convertible following the wedding. Dragging behind them are not tin cans, but a dead person. Next, we see Gregg, Sara and Nick discussing how long the crime scene took with Nick saying the sentence I used here as the subject head.

This episode was really horrible, one of the worst I've ever seen in the six years of watching this show. It tried to be funny and smart-ass, and wound up only being stupid with ludicrous dialog and a nasty, profane edge to the thing, with more smugness than a Chevy Chase film festival. I guess was part of CSI's attempt at black humor.

Everyone in here, even most of the CSI workers, had "attitudes" and one wonders what kind of audience this show is after. This episode is a good example of why I now prefer the New York and Miami spin-offs to this show, which was terrific the first few years but has "pushed the envelop" too much for its own good. The episode was just way too sleazy. It included guest star Veroncia Cartwright. Well, at least she fit in with the rest of these dirt-bags.
