I'm Super Uncle!
mitchrmp3 March 2014
It's Jesse's 26th birthday and everybody loves him. He makes promises to help everyone. Danny needs his car worked on, Joey needs him to help get a jingle out on time, D.J. has her soccer games, Stephanie needs cookies made, and Michelle needs her Jack-in-the-Box fixed. Oh, and Becky has a wedding for him to go to.

Before long, he feels the pressure. Poor planning on his part gets him down, especially when his band doesn't show up for an important gig. How will he ever make it through this new crisis?

This episode shows what families are for, and that we can't do it all on our own! Things are really sizzling up between Jesse and Becky, and their couple-play is a bit on the PG-13 side. Nothing's said, but the actions of what they meant are all there. Makes me feel a bit uncomfortable...

Full House will not have a better episode until mid-season 3.

Uncle Jesse just turned 26 and he is loving helping make the family's lives better. He is DJ's soccer coach (funny how he has always hated sports), Joey's jingle partner, and Becky's girlfriend that he can accompany. But more things come up: Michelle's jack-in-the-box is broken (get somebody else to fix it), Danny's car needs a mechanic (Jesse is a car expert and will do it for free), Stephanie needs cookies for a back sale (Jesse is the best cook in the house), and Becky needs a date for a wedding. His responsibilities keep piling up, leading to his band being double-booked at a gig in Sacramento. So the rest of the Tanners fill in for Jesse. They totally bomb on stage, but the whole nightclub scene was hilarious. The next day, all his responsibilities converge and he almost has a nervous breakdown which is also hilarious.

It is good that Jesse wants to help, but what makes this so great is how funny it is while still being smart. That's the one thing many comedies completely miss out on.
