Filmed entirely in San Diego, California using only two ambulances from two companies (the red "DIC" ambulance a retired San Diego Fire Department/Rural Metro ambulance and the blue "BALS" ambulance from a non-emergency company no longer serving San Diego). See more »
This movie will definitely not be for everyone, but I found its lowbrow humor to be hilarious. The characters were very well cast and, though unknown, really did a nice job. The movie can be overly loud which was somewhat annoying, but the fact that the jokes and sketches come at you fast and furious more than made up for that. If one joke fell flat, no worries because there was another one right behind it. The idea of competing EMT companies gives it just enough of a story line to tie all of the crazy antics together. I found it to be a cross between a raunchy Animal House and Super Troopers. The crowd at the theater that I was at was definitely getting into it. I was pleasantly surprised by Skidmarks and would highly recommend it.
