The documentary, narrated by Keith David, describes Nubia, a kingdom south of Egypt, with a similar religion and evolution. At some time, though, it was invaded and ransacked, all the writings and mentions of their gods smashed and destroyed.
We are still searching for the Rosetta stone that would help translate the remaining writings left, and the "hero" of the story is a woman archaeologist who is trying to find it.
As we didn't manage to translate their texts, we don't know much about them, so the film could not have shown a lot of things. It basically said nothing more than "we know little of the Nubians", but it is a nice watch and it reminds that Africa has a long history that many of us know almost nothing of.
