The new warehouse store is the place to go... out of your mind. Daria, Jane and many others are forced to brave the soul-crushing horror of discount shopping.
Through a series of events, several different "Daria" cast members end up at the new local club store (sort of like a Sams or BJ's). Daria accompanies Jane who wants to buy some gummy bears for an art project. Mr. DeMartino is simply looking for free samples--as is the recurring character of the wheezing fat lady. Kevin and Brittany are sent to get BBQ sauce--though they seem to get everything BUT the sauce. And, Tom and Trent come to....well...look for Jane and pick up a few things. Despite a very simple premise, the episode is quite good--mostly because it's hilarious seeing DeMartino and the chubby lady fighting to get all the free samples. It's also enjoyable seeing Mr. O'Neill and Kevin's father interact--especially when Ms. Barch is pulled into the 'disagreement'. Funny, well written and a nice critique of the banality of club stores.
