Gets up a fair degree of interest
deickemeyer6 January 2018
This story has melodramatic moments and gets up a fair degree of interest. There are certain points which are not very clear. It is not shown just what purpose was to be served by blowing up the magazine, as this would not injure any construction work in charge of the foreman. The latter's love for the daughter of the Italian saloon keeper seemed also a little strange. This is quite entertaining in a way, but lacks the convincing quality. The photography is good. - The Moving Picture World, November 22, 1913
