Daria gets a rash

Author: Tweekums from United Kingdom
3 December 2012

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

When Jane suggests that she and Daria get a burger with Trent and the band after a performance Daria starts to turn red; she isn't just blushing either... she has a severe rash. She manages to sneak away and is okay in the morning but when the rash returns in school she ends up in hospital. It isn't long before the rumours start at school and soon people think she has 'brain fever'; her father meanwhile thinks she must be on drugs! Eventually we learn the cause; it is nothing serious; just a bit embarrassing for Daria.

This was a pretty funny episode; the best bit being when she bumped into a black-haired Brittney is the club toilets... toilets that looked almost as bad as those in 'Trainspotting'! Jake also provided a good laugh as he constantly thought the cause must be drugs of some sort. The actual ailment was moderately funny although I'm sure most viewers will guess what caused the rash.

Asidre from Jake, this is a pretty dull episode.

Author: planktonrules from Bradenton, Florida
6 March 2011

As for Daria and her rashes, twice in the show he mysteriously comes down with a weird rash that spreads rapidly. Eventually, it ends up putting her in the hospital for some tests. Brittany, ever the idiot, assumes that Daria has brain fever and tells everyone at school. Fortunately, the rash is not that serious--and the doctors give her some pills and send her home. All in all, not a lot else to this rather dull episode. Aside from Jake, that is...Jake is great in this episode. Somehow he's convinced himself that Daria might be on drugs and when she incidentally starts having rashes, he totally panics and runs amok--like Attila the Hun on crack! You just have to see these scenes--they are classic.
