Getting To Know Doogie Personally And Professionally
21 March 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In the first episode of the Doogie Howser,M.D., we get to know Doctor Douglas "Doogie" Howser, M.D. and the viewer gets to witness different events in his life both professional and personal.

First,we get to see his family life. Despite the fact that Doogie is a child prodigy,he is able to manage balance in life with the help of his parents - his protective mother and a father who has a difficult time letting his son go into the real world.Meanwhile,we also witness Doogie at work as a doctor who deals with a sick child. We get to realize that he himself was sickly as a child and that motivated him to become a doctor. In addition to that,we also get to see Doogie get his driver's license and finally get to drive his car on the street as he intends to attend an important event with his girlfriend.

This was a nice episode to get to know Doogie Howser,MD personally and professionally. We see that his loving parents were a big factor to both his success and adjustment to the real world especially considering that he is a child prodigy. In addition to that,we also learn a lot about his humanity particularly his love for people who are sick as he himself grew up sickly. In the end,it provides us a great opening of one of the most unforgettable shows on air.
