Did You Know?

This episode shares similarities with the movie, "Flatliners" in which med-students routinely kill themselves and come back in an attempt to find the answers about what exists beyond death. See more »

You can see Clark's breath when he arrives in Honduras, a country where the average low is in the mid 60s, obviously an indication that the footage was shot in a much colder climate locally in Vancouver. See more »

Chloe Sullivan: Well I'll reach out to my source and see if they know anything else. Clark, don't worry about it. You won the first fight. My money's on you in the rematch.
Clark Kent: Chloe, I don't think Fine is the only thing we need to worry about. When I was injected with the serum and died, I saw my father.
Chloe Sullivan: Oh my God, Clark.
Clark Kent: Yeah, he told me there's someone else who knows my secret - Lionel Luthor.

Lana tampers with the world beyond
21 April 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Another slow episode that yet contains a storyline that has some interesting points arrives in Smallville's 105th episode.

Lana is depressed, and feels abandoned by everybody who used to be close to her. Desperate to see her parents, she fritters away her money while in college to take a drug that allows her to get near to the other side past death, and almost see her parents. The closer she gets to death and almost sees them, the more addicted she gets to the drug. In his attempt to save her, Clark gets injected the drug, and his deceased father Jonathan speaks to him. Beforehand, Clark goes to central America to investigate the whereabouts of nemesis Milton Fine.

The viewers can truly see what a low point Lana has hit in her life, to the point that she has gone from a top student full of happiness to a young woman vying for some semblance of love, no matter what the cost. It is intriguing to see Clark get inspired by his father one final time.
