Although Karen wishes to help Buchanan, he is still taken into CTU to maintain the cover while Chloe escapes. Meanwhile, Jack hijacks a plane in search for the recording that Henderson handed off and discovers that the Henderson's associate is actually the co-pilot, and not the passenger he apprehends. At the retreat, Martha grows increasingly unstable, causing further dispute between Logan and Mike, who begins to suspect something is wrong. Graeme continues to manipulate Logan into taking drastic measures, and suggests that the flight Jack has boarded, be shot down to prevent him recovering the evidence.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Vladimir Bierko and his crew go to the Wilshire Gas Company to release the remaining canisters of Sentox nerve gas into a central air tank that will ultimately kill 200,000 people.

2.Jack and a tactical team follow Bierko to the gas company to blow up the tank before the gas is released and apprehend Bierko. As the tanks explode, Jack catches Bierko and knocks him out. Jack carries Bierko out to the parking lot and instructs Curtis Manning to get Bierko back to CTU Los Angeles alive.

3.Graem tells President Charles Logan to order Flight 520 down before Jack can obtain the recording that implicates Logan in President Palmer's death and use it against them. President Logan calls Karen Hayes at CTU and demands that the plane land immediately and that Jack Bauer be taken into custody by Secret Service.

4.Jack Bauer hijacks Flight 520 and phones the pilot to tell him that the co-pilot, Scott Evans, has the recording. As the pilot gets up to unlock the cockpit, Evans knocks him out. Jack enters the cockpit and Evans hands over the recording. Jack calls Chloe and tells her that he has the recording.

5.Graem calls President Logan and tells him that Jack has the recording. He explains to President Logan that the plane must be shot down unless he wants to go to prison for treason and murder.

The new villain happens to be Graeme. He is able to manipulate President Logan and he is up to go against Jack at all cost including shooting down the plane where Jack is.

This is an action packed episode and words are not enough to describe.Go see it for yourself.

Almost Got 'Im

An unusually subdued episode, but far from tedious. The president's increasingly being backed into an corner while Jack takes over a plane in search of the recording. Logan's co-conspirators (pretty much the Bluetooth brigade, led by Paul McCrane) are losing faith in him, Martha's losing the battle over repressing her conscience, and the good guys are slowly-but-surely drawing in (against all odds). This is Charles Logan against a wall, and Gregory Itzin wears that desperation well.

8/10
